Private Cloud Deployment

There are three types of Cloud Deployment models: Public Cloud, Private Cloud and Hybrid Cloud. Amazon EC2 and Microsoft Azure are good examples of the Public Cloud model. But whether the Public Cloud is the right model for you depends upon the nature of your application and your infrastructure requirements. Whereas the Public Cloud is a viable option for most computing needs, the Private Cloud is a good option for organizations that wish to maintain their computing resources inside their own firewall. Enterprises generally use a Private Cloud when they have an extremely large user base and are concerned about data, security and latency.

Public Cloud - In a Public Cloud, the Cloud vendor hosts the infrastructure and the customer has no access to, visibility of or control over the infrastructure. The same infrastructure is generally shared by multiple tenants using a secure multitenant architecture. Public Cloud greatly reduces the overheads of infrastructure management and technology upgrades.

Private Cloud - A Private Cloud is owned by a single organization or a group of organizations and is not shared by anyone else. A Private Cloud uses dedicated resources and may be hosted on-premise or by a third party vendor. Though Private Cloud gives you better control over the Computing resources, it leaves you with an overhead to manage and upgrade these very resources.

Hybrid Cloud - A Hybrid Cloud is a combination of Private Cloud and Public Cloud. For example, an organization may use a Private Cloud for secure applications and a Public Cloud for managing peak capacity. Although a Hybrid Cloud gives you the best of both worlds, you still have to decide between a Public Cloud and Private Cloud as a base for your operations.

WOLF Database Application Platform gives you flexible deployment options for hosting your Cloud application service. You have an option to choose your preferred server:

WOLF Public Private Cloud

WOLF Public Cloud and Private Cloud deployment

  • WOLF OnDemand Public Cloud
  • Private Cloud deployment or Third Party hosting

WOLF Default OnDemand Public Cloud Deployment

By default WOLF offers its OnDemand Public Cloud over the following secure and trusted hosting providers: iWeb or Rackspace. This option helps you to avoid infrastructure management and the costs associated with maintenance. It gives you flexibility and elastic scalability. You can also standardize your workload if your application is used by multiple users.

WOLF Private Cloud Deployment or Third Party Hosting

You can also choose to host your application in your own Private Cloud or select a Third party hosting provider. You would only need to decide on the number of users who will access your application and an appropriate WOLF license. Your application and its entire data Runtime will be moved to your Private Cloud. You can extract & save your data in a RDBMS format and also extract application design in a portable XML format with a single click.
